    Well, it is just since the date the ewes and rams were put together. I do not know when the ewes cycled so I am suspecting that they started cycling later this year here for some reason. I am considering buying a marking harness for next year. Maybe I will ask the NW Shetland group what their experiences have been with this.

    Oh GOOD. I was afraid you were saying it was 163 days since you took the ram OUT; THAT was scary! I only had one ewe (Butter, my yearling) who bred the day she was put in with the ram – and I think she was ready because I had held her out for awhile, unsure that I wanted to breed her. Inky bred about a week after introductions, and two were later than that.
