End of a Season, a Year and a Decade

So this represents the end of the Christmas season and the dead of winter.  It is the Christmas tree and the top of the spruce that fell on our house, now goat food.

This is also the end of the year.  Tom and I had a great year, despite the economy and other events.  I have a great job, and Tom found a wonderful new job as well.  We travelled to Europe (a lifelong dream for me) and repaired our barn.

This is also the end of a decade.  For me, this was a great one.  It started off poorly with the painful loss of a boyfriend and then became worse with 9/11.  But then I met Tom who I immediately knew was the love of my life.  We purchased the farm, fixed it up, got married here and have settled into a wonderful life here.  We have had many adventures here, travelled and cemented our relationship.  So this was the best decade of my life so far.  We will see what the next one brings.

Hello, and good morning from WV.I found your blog this morning while searching for mine. I am new to blogging and have found a lot of intersting things. I have been looking through your blog and I think it’s great. I love the fact you name your animals. You really have a lot of information on your blog and I have added you to my favorites. I also have several different animals and your site will be very helpful. Hope you have a great New Year, looking forward to hearing more about your farm.

    • Thanks for the positive feedback. As you probably noticed I have been through several blogs with Yahoo and Blogger. So far I am liking the WordPress format best. I look forward to following your blog too.
