Starting seeds and my blog anniversary

So today I put some of my seeds into soil and move them to a window next to the kitchen.  This is much earlier than usual but since our spring is progressing much earlier than usual, I thought I should be ready.

So I just realized that my blog anniversary passed on February 7th.  My first farm blog was at http://www.schoonoverfarm.com/farmblog (2/7/05 – 6/7/06), the second one was at http://schoonoverfarm.com/blog.html (6/19/06 – 4/9/08) and the third one was at http://schoonoverfarmblog.blogspot.com/ (4/9/08 – 1/4/10).  I actually had been cutting and pasting posts from my second blog into this one today (before I realized my anniversary had past).  I was looking to import from Yahoo but realized soon that they shut their blog service down.  So I need to act fast!  I did find in late 2006 and early 2007 the first comments by Denise and Michelle, so that was quite nice.  Anyway, here’s my very first blog entry (complete with original typo!):

Triplets

February 7, 2005

It’s currently winter although some days feel like spring.  The ground is muddy and some of the goats and sheep are bred- due in April.  We have three kids born January 15th from when the buck escaped in August and bred a doe too early. They were very chilled when I found them one hour after they were born. They are thriving now and oh so cute!  Chores involve feeding and watering everyone which is great exercise! We’re just trying to keep the peace here and the predators at bay.  We really want spring to get here and more light- it’s pretty dark and wet right now!
