  1. Looks like you had quite a day. How many did you shear? Looks like you had some good helpers too. Wh’s the little guy peaking out from behind the door in the last picture?

  2. It was quite a day. We sheared 34 sheep. We had great helpers, just the right number I think, and we worked well as a team. The last one is Shortcake (we call Shorty), our Nigerian Dwarf kid from last spring. I was done spreading out all the wool to dry, came out and saw Shorty peaking out. I had to smile and stop a moment to pet her.

Love it! Big day at Schoonover Farm. Those poor sheep look like they will be chilly tonight. Great work though, and some nice fleeces to boot.

That’s a lot of pics! Wow, busy day. “Aaahhhh…now don’t that feel better!”

  5. Yes, the big day is over. Now I get to relax (hah!). But is is an accomplishment, and I have something to show for one year’s work.

Yep, you get to relax about 30 seconds, then on to the next thing, right? Thanks for letting me be part of the big day. It was a lot of fun- and look at all those wonderful fleeces you have to play with now! 🙂
