After more than one year of trying, we finally have bunnies born here last night. These are the kits from our copper Satin Angora doe Ma Bell and our red Satin Angora buck Bomber. They will get a lot cuter in the next few weeks, I assure you. Now we have three more rabbits, 2 more goats and 6 sheep let to deliver babies.

No, the mothers leave them alone and pretend not to know they are there. It’s a survival strategy that predators do not know they are there either. They only return to the nest once per day to feed them. So I have learned (from Betty Chu’s website) to bring them in the house, keep them in small kennels, and just bring them out once a day. This improves their survival and their friendliness too.

Wow! Never thought I’d see a baby that wasn’t cute, but they are not. I can hardly wait to see how the look as they grow up.
No they aren’t cute now, but in a few weeks they will be the cutest thing you ever saw!
