I went to the reunion of my Swedish side of the family this last weekend in Saskatchewan. It was roughly the 100th year since the first one of the group had immigrated from Sweden to Canada. 131 people came from many parts of Canada, the USA and Sweden. It was great seeing people again, meeting new ones, and learning about my family’s history. Above is a photo of some of the immigrants in Canada in 1938, and below is a video of their church’s bells.
If you would like to see the rest of my photos, they are at https://swedishreunion.shutterfly.com/pictures/8
Thanks for the pictures
You’re welcome.
Awesome—none of our Schoonover’s have Swedish connection except my maternal grandmother
Sophia Emma Erdman immigrated approx 1976-1979
Hi Elizabeth! My husband’s name is Schoonover so my Swedish side (Johnson) is no relation to his Schoonover side.
