The County can come onto your land and destroy plants and boundary fencing.
The County can disrupt the section corner defining your property line.
The County can drop wood onto your pasture fence and break a fence post.
I know this because that is what our County did to us on Thursday when we were at the Farmers market without our knowledge or permission. AND they did this with our flock in the field where they were damaging our fences. The boundary fence helped keep unwanted visitors out like humans and coyotes, and it defined our property boundary as well. The plants like blackberries also helped discourage interlopers. Our view is now changed in that we can see the road now (see top photo). And our fence is now compromised. The County is going to meet with us on Tuesday, and they have a lot of explaining to do!
Such a shame. There are times I wish I could build medieval walls around my farm so i didn’t have to worry about any of that or deal with people.

Thanks Denise! It is a mess. We are going to asked them to get a license surveyor to replace the section corner and to replace the boundary fence ( which is not pictured as it is completely gone). If they agree to that and to call us before they start destroying our property we will deal with the rest of the mess ourselves.
Unacceptable. I hope they are swift to repair damage to your property and will commit to no future ‘vandalism.’
