We have a starling problem in our barn.  We have tried limited their access to feed and drinking water.  We tried putting up streamers.  We have not tried loud noises or shooting them, thinking these tactics would be detrimental to the animals that are supposed to live in the barn.  It seems like the starling number has quadrupled this fall, and our sheep are getting pooped on badly as well as everything else.  So today I put up netting over the entrances to the barn.  

I hope this helps.  We are already planning on replacing the last of the barn walls.  In doing this we will eliminate them being able to get over the wall into the barn as well.
