So today it is cold outside. I decided to spoil the sheep some by giving them pieces of English muffins. Here they are just after the spoiling, looking for more.
But being a critter here is a mixed bag. Because Monday we butchered our two hogs, Curly and Moe.
We also had Jack, our goat, butchered. This is because, per Tom, he is a maintenance nightmare. He beat me up to the point of bruises when I trimmed his hooves, and he was quite damaging to our fences.
So some animals enjoy English muffins, and others get a bullet this week at Schoonover Farm.
Sounds like a lot of good meals coming your way. Have you butchered a goat before? How do you prepare it?
I have not. I have looked up recipes for curried goat and goat stew. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
