Sheepiversary

I first started being owned by sheep twenty years ago today.  I went to Mystic Knoll to buy Ebony, a Shetland black ewe.  Then Sadie hopped into my lap so I got both of them.

Loki, the ram, did not come until the next year.  He came from Mountain Niche and produced all the original ewes’ lambs.

I bought Reuben at the same time as a ram companion.

I bought Babette around the same time.  I had gone to Badger Hollow for another reason and fell in love with Babette instead.  She was the best animal decision I ever made.

So now it has been twenty years sharing my lives with sheep and I still love it.

It looks and sounds like you are a “forever sheep person!” I really enjoyed the pictures!

Thanks Jeanne. We are not breeding or getting more sheep so eventually I will run out of them. It is hard for me to imagine myself without any sheep though.
