Frosty Mornings

It has been cold here recently, especially in the mornings.  This morning was 19 degrees, and animal chores were difficult due to frozen water buckets, faucets, hoses and gates.  But it was pretty.  Here is the sunrise over the sheep.

Here are the animals with frost on their backs.

Here are some ice formations made when our hose sprung a little leak.

And here are footprints from Steve and the chickens.

And finally Dete (our Cotswold ewe) with the morning sun streaming over her.

My gloves got wet fighting with the hose and faucet.  So I did the rest of the chores without gloves and got so cold.  I was shaking by the time I got back to the house.  All day I still had a chill until this evening I am finally fully warm.  Hopefully tomorrow morning will go better.  Thankfully the farm animals do not seem as cold.

Yikes! 19 degrees is way too cold, in my estimation! Your pictures were very interesting.
I’m sorry you got so chilled. I don’t like feeling cold.
