So, we were going to do the chores quickly this morning so we could go to the Edison Chicken Parade at noon. I have lived in the area 25 years and have never gone. Plus I have some chicken hats we could wear. But the cows had other plans. They had escaped into the back forty (meaning four) acres last night and had to be rounded up. You can see them and the llama in the distance.
They had jumped a low spot in the fence sometime in the night. So Tom had to open up the fence to get them to go back in.
Then the fence needed repairing. So no quick chores and no chicken parade for us. Maybe next year.
