Angry Hen, Seed Drill and Goat Maintenance

Yesterday we replaced the shavings in the nest boxes for the hens.  This hen did not appreciate it.

We also moved the old seed drill.  When Tom built the greenhouse extension, it blocked the view of the drill.  I like it (Tom not so much).  The first step was to pull the right rear tire backward to get the hitch accessible.

In this process the drill tipped up but the plants stayed in it.  Here is the underside of the drill which we have not seen in a very long time.

And here is Tom towing it to its new home.

And here it is all settled.  Some bits of metal came off of it in the move so I stacked them on top with other odds and ends.  I love our seed drill!

Today we did spring goat maintenance.  But it was much, much easier with the new winching stand.  Here is our smallest goat, Miss Smith, all winched up.

And here is our largest goat, Billy Asa, all winched up.

I even sheared one of the goats, Brown Sugar, on it.  It all went easy-peasy.  Now goat maintenance is not nearly the chore it used to be.  We were going to hot tub this evening after working so hard.  Not sure we deserve it anymore, but think we will likely tub anyway.

P.S. Why on earth do you suppose my first comment has a blue emblem? Mine has always been brown! Strange!
