Swallows, Steve and Fleeces

This morning going out to do the chores, I noticed the swallows for the first time this year.  I always mark it down on the calendar when I first see them, but then I save my calendars in the attic so it doesn’t do me much good.  But they do seem later this year.  I tried to take photos of them, but they were flying so fast, you cannot see them.  It is nice to have them back.

Steve was quite happy today.  I think he likes the weather and having us around the farm more.  We noticed today he lost his name tag so I have to get him another one.

His profile.

I finished skirting and evaluating this year’s fleeces today.  So we do not need to keep building wood stove fires to get them dry.  Here is one of them.

Bambam locks

I posted the best fleeces for sale on our Fiber for Sale page.  If you are interested you can go there to check them out.

Very interesting! I looked at all of the sales talk too! That was also interesting. I’m not a spinner, though my daughter is.

My swallows were back a month ago and I remember thinking they’re really early this year. Normally I don’t see them until about now.

Glad Steve has been enjoying the weather and more time with you guys. I think Gus feels the same way 🙂 BamBam does grow lovely wool- I still have some of his 2017 fleece!

Glad to hear Gus is enjoying it as well. Bambam does have lovely wool. Not sure why it doesn’t sell. But just more for me to play with!
