So the goats did a great job with the poles.
I have 9 poles, and they are now working on some more.
We have had some young rabbits in our garden this spring. I finally was able to take some photos of one.
So far no major damage to the garden, but I think there will be if they stay. We never had this problem when we had beagles.
Is that a cottontail? I’ve never seen many of them, so can’t always tell. I grew up in jack-rabbit country. I don’t suppose those little cottontails could do much in the way of making bean poles!
I don’t know what kind of rabbit it is.
Probably an eastern cottontail, we have had baby bunnies in our yard too. See https://www.seattle.gov/Documents/Departments/Neighborhoods/PPatch/Tips/411-Wild_Rabbits.pdf
Thanks Mom. I was surprised about how little the ears are.
I think I will try the rabbit repellent recipe from that wild rabbit link. I have all the ingredients and it might help our garden against the rabbits and the deer. I am not sure how well it will work with our sprinkling though.
Nice blog. I am following you now. 🙂
Thanks!
