On the farm there are lots of birds, both wild and domestic.  Yesterday this bald eagle dropped a branch into the field with the cows.

This is its mate moving other material to build a nest.

This is an old red hen that found an old tire to die in.

And here are our 14 youngest chicks growing up and getting ready to be released into the barnyard.  They will join the 15 bigger ones.

We also have peafowl and geese but no longer have ducks or pheasants.  Then there are the multitude of songbirds, swallows, other birds of prey, vultures, wild waterfowl, herons, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, gulls, and doves.  These are the birds we live with (and die here) on Schoonover Farm.
