So I am considering keeping one of these cockerels but do not know what they are. Please help me. They are from an order of an order of All Heavies from Murray McMurray hatchery but do not seem to be any of the breeds listed. They look like Rhodebar chickens, but this hatchery does not sell them.

I bet they taste OK using Grand Ma’s old roasting recipe 🍗
They probably do!
I doubt that one color or design of feathers, would make much difference in the flavor. I assume you got them for the dinner table….?
I did but I want to save one as a replacement rooster. It would be nice to know the breed so I can know a little about temperament.
That IS a good point! I hope someone can give you the answer!!
Marram maybe?
Thanks- I will look into them!
Per the hatchery they are Bielefelders. https://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/bielefelder.html. They are described as docile with good meat and egg production. I am excited to keep o es as our rooster. The black barred o es are Cuckoo Marans. I thought they were Barred Rocks.
