Our Saturday

So, of course, we had the election results finally this morning. Then I did animal chores while Tom work on the grandson’s quad. My back hurt pretty bad this morning but has since improved.  Then the “kids” and grandkids came over for a belated celebration of William’s sixth birthday.  I made bubblegum cupcakes last evening and this morning wrapped his presents.

William enjoyed riding his quad, of course.

We had a nice lunch of grilled venison tenderloin that Tom made.  Then it was time for opening presents.

Then we had the bubblegum cupcakes (William’s request) and bubblegum ice cream.  This giant tub was the only bubblegum ice cream we could find.

Tom hung out with their dog Bell.  His finger is doing better, but it does still hurt quite a bit sometimes.

When William was done riding, the quad was quite muddy.  But he did hose it off afterwards.

They left, and we sat down to enjoy the speeches of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden while the cats pretended that they couldn’t see each other.

Now we are watching college football and hoping to stay awake for SNL It was a great day!

Wow! That was quite a day!! William is such a cutie!
That little Bell is really a cute little dog. Is she a Shih Tzu? How old is she?
How do you feel about the outcome of the election?
I hope your back gets better. It’s no fun having pain. My shoulders are both very painful. I mostly have to just live with the pain.
Marlys, my daughter, has had a terrible time with a nasty rash on her face and neck, for a couple of months, and lately her hands have broken out with sores. She finally got to see the doctor yesterday. Oh my! The hands have yeast infection, and the face and neck is impetigo! So she has two meds to fight them off. She’s also soaking her hands in a vinegar solution, which is helping too.

    Take care!

It was quite a day. I am hoping to relax in front of football tomorrow. Bell is a Shih Tzu and about 2 years old. I am thrilled with the outcome of the election. I am hoping for a more rational approach to the pandemic among other hopes. I think my back will improve. I am sorry your shoulders are so painful. I am also sorry to hear about Marlys’ rashes. I sure hope her new medications help her. I will try to take care. You too!

Marlys’ previous service dog was a Shih Tzu. He was SO precious. Bell is just adorable.
We still miss Keni so much. He passed away early this year at about 14 years of age. Her present service dog is a good-sized Chihuahua. Such a little character! He weighs about 8-10 lbs. He was a rescue, and has had a few problems, but is so sweet.

Bell is adorable. She is so sweet and our Steve just loves her. He was trilled to have her visit. Sorry about Keni. Losing a precious dog is so hard.
