Snow Day

This is our first snow of the winter.  Here is Ryeleigh’s third time in the snow (I missed the first two as I slept in.  I had my second Remicade infusion yesterday and am quite tired.)

And here are the views of the snowy farm.

calico beans for soup

The beans are for Country Kitchen Calico Bean Soup for dinner tonight.

We have about 6 inches now, and it keeps snowing. The latest alert is that it will snow until 9:oo PM. Thankfully we do not need to go anywhere, there is no wind, and we have all of our utilities working. So we are just fine.

There’s something so peaceful when it snows, I absolutely am enjoying this weather right now. Looks like your pups are as well!

Best wishes for your recuperation – honestly, your drive and determination amaze me. I wish I had a tenth of your stamina!

Stay safe and warm and let us know how your bean dish turns out. I haven’t met a bean I didn’t love! 😊

Thanks! It is peaceful but certainly more work as well. The dogs like it in spurts. I am sure the soup will be great. We have had it before. I also haven’t met a bean I don’t like.

Your snow is lovely. We only got rain. – 1.3″ in the gauge this morning, and it rained quite a bit today. It’ll be interesting to see how much we have in the morning.

It’s a lot of fun to watch a pup playing in the snow, isn’t it?!

Your bean soup sounds very good!

For a weekend at home, I would prefer snow to rain. But if I had drive, rain would be better. The puppy really likes the snow. It is fun to watch. The soup was perfect.
