So my fruit plans changed. I decided to make a frozen strawberry daiquiri with some of the strawberries. It really helped with this evening’s heat.

And with the cherries I decided to make Pork Chops with Cherry Sauce for dinner. Here is the cherry sauce cooking.

And here is the dinner. The cherry sauce was tasty. And it was true farm meal with home grown pork, cherries, green beans, quince and Asian pears (in the cider).

Now we have just a handful of strawberries and cherries left (for now). But the raspberries are starting to ripen. Another fruit to deal with.
That’s using your crop, for sure! What all did you put in the cherry sauce! It looks very interesting!.
There’s shallots, orange marmalade and balsamic vinegar. It is different but yummy.
That sounds really interesting! Sadly, it’s not one we could use, with Marlys’s allergies. I’m sure you’ll make it again. Enjoy your fruit!!
the cherry sauce sounds great. I’m afraid our cherries might just bake on the tree before I have a chance to pick any!
I braved the 9:00 heat and picked our pie cherries. This is going to be an interesting summer.
Let’s hope this heat goes away SOON! It’s109 here this afternoon!
It is slightly better today. Really tired of this.
