20 Year Housiversary

It was on this day 20 years ago that we bought our house and farm.  It was a vision to think it would be livable.  Tom had more faith than I did.  Here is the front of our new home.

And the back with the hideous unfinished extension.

And a portion of the back yard.  There were also 13 dead cars, some with trees growing through them.

A portion of the dining and living rooms.

And the kitchen.

2002 first time in our future home

It was a lot of work, time and money to get it livable.  The animals were living here well before we were.  But it has been worth it in every way.

That TRULY took vision; you guys have done amazing work!

Wow. you guys were really brave taking that on. Ours was a project, but we didn’t have a mouldering extension to deal with. Or 13 dead vehicles. man-oh-man. It is really rewarding to look back and see all the progress tho, isn’t it?

I’m amazed at all you’ve done on your place! What a job!! I’m really impressed! How did you manage to get all of those old dead cars moved? That had to be a really tough job! And what did you do with that addition? Did you remove it, or give it a make-over?

Your farm and house look great!

I’m sorry for being so slow in making my comment. Take care!

It was quite a job. We were nto able to move in until January! The only stipulation for our purchase was that they had to remove the cars. We didn’t know if they had titles, etc. The addition was torn down. It was invested with millions of flies in its walls. It was completely disgusting. We did have a contractor who did most of the work but we did a lot as well.

The picture of the house when you bought it, just amazes me, with all that overgrowth of vines or whatever that was! It looks SO pretty now!

A while ago I read a whole bunch of emails people sent you – back about 2010. I thought it was rather funny, how many of them wanted to know if you were related to them!
