Tom was able to move the old, destroyed produce stand.
And then he moved the new stand in place.
When I left to run some errands this afternoon, it looked like this from the driveway.
And when I got back it looked like this.
This is amazing progress in one day. Now we just have to clean this up and add a few items. Then we will have our produce stand and free library back in action. So exciting!!!
In other farm news, here’s a better photo of Summertime eating her hay.
And I poured some leftover tomato juice in a pumpkin shell, and the black turkeys seemed to like it. It looks a little spooky though.
That looks great!
So you are feeling better?
I am. I still have a cough, fatigue and some GI issues. I had a chest X-ray yesterday that was normal.
The new produce stand is really attractive! Did Tom build it from scratch?
Summertime is so lovely! She’s really growing. – I never would have thought of putting tomato juice into the pumpkins for the turkeys. I’m glad they liked the combo.
He built it from scratch. He already put eggs for sale in it. I need to get the library resurrected still. Summertime is adorable I didn’t plan the tomato- pumpkin thing, but it seemed like a nice bowl to hold it. But then I thought it looked too much like blood.
It does look that way, but the turkeys didn’t seem to give a hoot!
How many eggs are you getting a day?
The turkeys were fine with it. We are getting more than a dozen eggs per day.
I’ve been wondering – is the new produce stand going to have a door or some sort of closure on the front?
No. Tom want to leave it more open so people could look and get inside easier. I like how it looks.
Whatever works! Can you lock the fridge? I don’t want to have thieves stealing your eggs again!
The fridge is lockable but we haven’t been great at doing so in the past. Recently using a cooler we haven’t been having any egg stealing.
