Young-uns

This is the time of year I need to try to stop for a second and enjoy the young-uns.  This is Ruby playing “King (or in this case queen) of the Feeder”.  Notice no one else playing with her.

For those of you who have not raised chickens, I recorded the first crows of roosters in the video below:

Finally some of last year’s young-uns trying to break through the fences and gates to get back to the barn where they used to be spoiled with grain.

    love the video of the goats- Our accidental rooster just started crowing her a little bit ago too. Now that he’s figured it out, he’s got a pretty nice sound. Not a bad way to wake up-

    They are so sweet. It’s the time spent with them as kids that make all the work worth it.
