Look at all that lovely green grass! it looks very spring like. I can’t wait for spring…..we are in for more snow and very cold temps this week. I hope it warms up for sheep shearing in late March.
That is so funny. I see the water and the mud and you see the green grass. What they always say about our rain is that it makes us the Evergreen State.

Thanks! I thought she was owner of the barn, checking out her domain from her perch. We have mud for about 9 months.
We’re in the midst of a winter storm–blizzard for tomorrow. I’ll appreciate the mud this spring (at least for a couple of weeks). The geese look so happy! Mine are busy bathing in snowdrifts.
I hear you guys are in for it. Makes me appreciate our mud more!
Great photos! Love the heron. Izzy does look like she is surveying her kingdom. Over here, we know it’s wet when we actually find a slug, and mushrooms start erupting out of the ground!

Thanks Jackie! Izzy’s the queen of the barn. Slugs and mushrooms would be very odd there. Here they are a daily occurrence when it has not been freezing.
Lovely photos of our Almost Spring weather. Mud, green grass, wet, and more mud -but Winter IS going (I keep telling myself this in an encouraging sort of way) and Spring can’t be far behind -it’s ALMOST Spring, right?
I am not sure about the Spring part. I sure hope so though. It has already been a long winter but so far no major mishaps like trees falling on our house or broken water pipes. So I cannot complain too much- just a little 🙂
