I finished knitting a sweater for our beagle Rocky. It is my first attempt at a Gansey sweater. It is from yarn from a favorite (now gone) llama named Tudor. It makes him look a little chubby, and the neck is a little big. It was a tricky because he has a big dog size chest, but the rest of him is little dog sized. And it is late getting done as the weather is warming, But hopefully it will keep him warm next winter.
PS Here is a photo of our lilac. This plant was originally from my great grandparents house in Yakima (we call 2711). A cutting was taken and grew at my grandparents house, and another cutting was then taken to here. It is doing beautifully.
Rocky’s sweater is GREAT! It looks like it fits him really well – love the cute little ‘sleeves’ you made in it.
Thanks Maureen! I hope he likes it. He wore it all last night.
Love the sweater and I can smell your lilacs from here 🙂 How wonderful that you have a part of your great grandparents with you and evoke nice memories.
Thanks Liz! I do love the smell of the lilacs and imagine my ancestors enjoying them too.
rocky looks so cool in his sweater. thanks for the link to the pattern! is it hard to get him into it with the sleeves and all?
Thanks Denise! It is easy getting him unit as the sleeves are short and the neck is big. I forgot that the neck is supposed to be folded so might fit him better then. He likes it. Slept in it all night.
