Bambam is Back!!!

peacock sunrisellama sunriseAbove are photos from yesterday morning’s sunrise.
On Saturday I received a Facebook message saying that Bambam’s owner was going to sell him and offered to sell him to me.  I was thrilled since he is Jocko’s son.  I really miss Jocko, and I really wanted to breed him one last time so I can continue to have mioget wool for the next 10-15 years.  He died just days before I was going to breed him, and my mioget ewes are 8 and 9 years old.  So the opportunity to still breed for my favorite wool color was thrilling. Plus Lewis needs a ram buddy. But I had to convince my husband that we NEEDED another sheep.
I managed to persuade him partially because he is my Christmas present and also because he realizes he married a crazy sheep lady.
So today I drove to Seabeck to pick him up. This involved ferry rides.  The ferry ride westward involved a gorgeous view of the sunlight on the water, Mount Rainier and another ferry.

SUNSHINE, MOUNT RAINIER AND FERRYThe owner and I managed to get Bambam Too into my kennel and into the back of Tom’s truck, and we headed back home.  Here he is looking out the kennel’s window.

And here he is on the ferry heading east.

On this ferry ride there was a gorgeous view of a sailboat, part of the Seattle skyline, and Mount Rainier.

Here he is in his new (but temporary) pen.

And here he is with Wilma.

The Shepherd says to tell you “We need to talk” – Donna and Vanessa are the only ones he has in with d’Jango so we should have our own crop of little golden fleeces running around this spring 🙂 Congrats on having that little bit of Jocko back!

We hope you guys have a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years! XOX T.

The Shepherd’s comment made me giggle. Here is hoping for golden lambs and bits of Jocko for everyone! Merry Christmas! Give Donna and Vanessa little treats for me.
