Lily

died today.

She was born to two of my original Shetland sheep, Loki and Lucy, in 2001.  Lucy was not able to nurse her so she became my first bottle lamb.  Despite that, she was not particularly friendly but never caused any problems.  She had beautiful moorit fleeces and produced lovely lambs, including Huey who I still have.  She was getting old and thin but still was getting around and eating until 2 days ago.  She was a nice sheep, and she will be missed.

Donna, I’m so sorry! It’s so difficult to lose our beloved four-legged critters. We’ve never had farm animals, but many cats, and at least five dearly loved dogs, have been part of our lives for 12-16 years. I can be a real basket-case when one dies.

Condolences, Donna. You know I know….
