Boles Weekend

We headed to our Boles Aero trailer this weekend, the first time in almost 2 months. I was able to knit my Explore 4 handspun Shetland yarn sampler scarf on the way over the pass.

When we arrived there were problems with the propane regulator and the fact that mice were able to get in due to the high snow level. So there was a fair amount of unpleasant work initially. But then Tom and my Dad were able to snowmobile. Tom had just bought a new-to-us machine so he wanted to try it out. I was able to relax some and then made a roasted (our) chicken dinner with our peas on the side. Today we had a warm breakfast (our sausage and eggs) then headed out on another ride. Here we are at Lion’s Rock.

But we got word that our beagle Rocky is not eating from our dog sitter. So we are heading back early to pick him up and hopefully convince him to eat. Here we are leaving on Tom’s machine. Mine will stay up there until our next trip.

It sure is beautiful with all that snow! I hope Rocky bounces back.

Thanks Michelle! It was so pretty. I meant to try to get a photo of how the sun sparkled on the snow. Just gorgeous! Rocky will not eat canned dog food for us but he will eat meat (chicken and pork chop). So I think it is spoiling time for him toward the end of his life. And we will not be leaving town without him.

I’m sorry Rocky is having problems in his older years. How old is he? My daughter’s Shih Tzu service dog is nearing 13, and has had some mental trauma in the last two months, when my younger daughter and her husband came to help, and brought their heeler. She’s a good dog for the most part, but she and Keni didn’t like each other very much. Then when we had to leave home for a few days, because of the power outage, Keni was a bit upset again. He’s glad to be home now, I think. 🙂
