So it starts. I have been spoiling the older goats and sheep with bread. Here are some ewes begging for some.
We have been getting a lot of rain recently. Things are wet but not flooded yet. But they are predicting more rain and flooding.
I was able to get daylight photos of the sheep nibbling on the tree. I also found an ornament I had missed.
But the big news is that I fell off a step ladder and twisted my ankle pretty bad this morning while putting fresh shavings in the nest boxes. The good news was that most of the chores were done. The bad news is that I was alone and had to finish and get back to the house by myself. All my plans are out the window, and I am icing in front of a football game instead.
I am not sure I like 2021 yet.
You have a nice place 🙂
Thanks. I think so.
🙂
Yikes! Between your ankle and Tom’s knee, this does not sound good! ☹️
Agreed. Not sure who is going to be the least disabled to do the chores tomorrow.
Stop that! I don’t think Steve can manage by himself!
Particularly since he barked at the cows today. Not sure what is going to happen tomorrow.
Oh, Donna!! I’m so sorry! You’re not supposed to fall off the ladder!! That’s just plain naughty! I think you may have to hire someone to come and help you our for a while! – And here I just wrote to you, and didn’t even know about this yet!
I got such a big kick out of Michelle’s comment!!
You take good care of yourself.
Thanks Jeanne! Falling off a ladder was not in the plans. Now I am forced to take it easy.
When it rains, it pours. Unbelievable! I’m so sorry! The upside is now you can trade war stories with your husband. Seriously though, healing wishes to you both
Thanks for the healing wishes. I need them.
oh no! can’t have you both on the bench! if you need an extra hand, just let me know-
Thanks Denise! Tom was able to do the chores yesterday with heavy use of the quad. And my ankle is doing a little better. So far, we got this!
