Wendel’s Felted Fleece Rug

Here are photos of the rug made from Wendel’s golden brown (mioget) Shetland fleece.  It is backed with felt made from batts from our other Shetland sheep.  It is approximately 3′ by 5′ in dimensions.  His is a primitive style fleece so the neck region is quite soft whereas the britch area is a little coarse.  It is quite dramatic.  It is for sale for $150.

Very nice! It’d be great to have beside the bed! I would love to wiggle my toes in that!

I’ve got Wendell’s fleece from last year on my floor beside by bed. It’s soooo lovely. My cat (after a bit of skepticism) now is quite happy to curl up on in at any time of the day or night. 🙂

Adding that, if I had the floor space, I’d be happy to get this one too. Alas, my floors are all covered now…
