Tom picked them up Monday morning. Rather quickly, they had their stuff spread out and were watching Shaun the Sheep.
Piper took a nap while I paused the show.
And William went riding on his quad.
This is Tuesday morning with Piper sleeping on pillowcase from my childhood that she had picked out
After farm chores and lunch we went to a couple of motorcycle stores looking for parts for William’s motorcycle. The kids really enjoyed checking out the rides.
There was a meeting in the front yard.
And then we headed to the Blue Fox Drive-In.
The kids had a great time in the Arcade.
Ryeleigh met a couple of dogs.
And grampa took the kids on go cart rides.
We had a tail gate dinner and then watched “Haunted Mansion” based on the Disney ride. Fortunately three of us had gone on the ride earlier this year so it was fun seeing the similarities.
The kids fell asleep rather quickly. There was a cool breeze so initially Tom and I were in the back of the Honda, but it wasn’t very comfortable so moved to chairs with blankets. On the drive home around midnight we saw the super moon.
On Wednesday we hung out on the farm, including going to the back 40 (actually 4) acres.
Tom showed William how to fix his motorcycle. We were able to get all of the parts except a back tire which is on order.
Later in the afternoon we watched more Shaun.
I picked some lilies that are blooming.
In the evening William managed to run out of gas from riding so much.
Today was more of the same. William and I watched the peahens learning to fly.
The paletas were a big hit.
Now they are safely back home. I think they had fun. We sure did.
Looks like you guys had a good time! Kids need this experience more so than ever these days good job 👍
Thanks!
What sweet kids, and you can’t beat Shaun the Sheep!
Agreed!!!
Your grandkids have no idea how blessed they are!
Thanks Michelle! I hope so.

great experiences for the grandkids. I didn’t realize that the Blue Fox was still open. that is very cool!
The Blue Fox is still open and I love going there. This is the first time with kids though. They had a great time except didn’t see much of the movie. I want to go when Tom gets his Belvedere running again.
