Cold weather is hard on our older animals, and today it was too much for our goat Billy. We got him from New Moon Farm Sanctuary in April 2011 to be a pack goat. Here we were meeting the first time, and then him coming home and meeting the donkeys.
He had been born in June 2010 so was a young wether when we got him.

We practiced walking him around with packs on, but the packing thing never worked out. He would just lay down in the trail and not go any further.
But he was a friendly goat, almost a farm ambassador.
He will be dearly missed.
So sorry Donna. The cold can be so hard on older animals. He was a handsome guy. rest in peace Billy.
