This bald eagle was checking me out when I was in our far field with the cows this morning.
I have three hens setting on eggs in nests in the barn.
Two of them left their nests briefly to eat so I could check out their eggs.
I put a saddle on one of the other hens as her back was raw from the roosters
And the turkey keeps strutting his stuff.
In fish news, one of my longtime goldfish died last night. He (not sure why I think it’s a he) had fibromas which made it difficult for him. He and my other goldfish are the subject of my kitchen calendar this month. So it is sad.
Today was otherwise a happy day. I just did the animal chores and cleaned the house but was actually happy. I cannot tell you how long it has been since I have been happy. I guess the stress of my job transition and Tom’s injuries affected me more than I realized. There are still issues with the transition, and Tom is only a little better than yesterday with his wounds. The weather was perfect today. So starting to wonder if my mood is really that dependent on the weather.
Tom has been happier too. He has been able to work on his latest motorcycle project and making good progress. It is nice to see!

Energy from the Sun is one of God’s greatest blessings!
Agree
I really enjoyed your post. I’m so glad that both you and Tom are feeling happy! I hope it lasts! It’s good to know that he was out working on his latest motorcycle. He is looking so much betterl Healing is wonderful!
P.S. I’m sorry about your fish. I used to keep a Betta in a rose bowl, on the dining room table. It was so much fun. They don’t need an aerated tank.
Thanks Jeanne. The tank seems empty without him even though there’s another goldfish still in there. I do have a Betta in the other community tank.
So glad you enjoyed the post. I hope it lasts too. I thought he looked great sitting on a motorcycle again.
So glad that things are trending upwards! the sun sure helps, doesn’t it?
It sure does!!!
