The July Music Continues

Tom decided rather last minute to get tickets for Sunday to see Dave Alvin and Jimmy Dale Gilmore with The Guilty Ones at the Lincoln Theatre in Mount Vernon (of which I am a member).  We had seen Dave with his brother Phil with The Guilty Ones at Winthrop Blues in 2016.  Here are snippets that Tom took (because I forgot my phone).

They mostly played songs from their new album (which we bought) but also some previous songs that they had written separately.  They are both amazing musicians and songwriters, and it was a thrill so see them at this venue.  I hadn’t realized that Dave had been briefly in X and the Knitters.  He even co-wrote Poor Little Critter on the Road with John Doe which is one of my all-time favorite songs (actually the whole album is amazing).

In other news, there was break in the build at dad’s cabin over the weekend.  On Sunday morning, a couple of young bucks took advantage of the peace and quiet (and shade).  This is one reason I love this property.

This morning at ~5:00 am, our back fence camera at home recorded this.

I am assuming that they are seeds, but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. It looks quite surreal.

Finally I had to include this video from yesterday afternoon.

I love videos of Ryeleigh enjoying a truck ride with Tom.  It is one of her favorite things, and you can tell.  It had actually cooled off enough yesterday so she could go one a ride again.

Fairies you have been invaded by fairies. 🙂 I would say seeds too.

Those flying things definitely look like seeds … With umbrellas!!! That’s quite a sight! I’m glad the camera caught it!
