On Monday, the peafowl got out again, and this is our beagle is shaking with excitement seeing them out of the window. She goes crazy over these birds.
Roscoe continues to get more and more comfortable in our home. He likes the chair by the north facing window for the morning sun.
On Tuesday afternoon, we visited Al in his nursing home. He is improving so much! He is able to spend more time in the wheelchair, and we were able to go out on the grounds and enjoy the views and sunshine. It was really nice. He should be home by the end of the month.
They have a gallery there of quilts that the residents made. They are pretty amazing. This is about 1/2 of them.
We took my mom out for her birthday dinner to Yea’s Wok. It was really good and lots of leftovers. I worked on Wednesday and back home on Thursday I was exhausted. When I woke up, Roscoe was still enjoying his chair.
On Friday, I was able to do some farm work. The chicks are really growing up. It is nice to see.
Wally continues to “help” us on the farm. Here she is on our tractor.
We have one turkey hen sitting on eggs but also two geese setting on turkey eggs. I am really hoping for some turkey poults.
Here are the chicks on Saturday. The feathers are really developing.
I was able to participate in Wonderful Woollies Fleece and Fiber Sale. I was able to meet up with quite a few fellow shepherds. It was fun catching up. I was able to spin a bit of wool as well.
This morning I was doing the chores again. Priscilla is getting more comfortable with the flock which is nice to see.
The pigs are getting a little bigger.
Here are all of the eggs that the turkey hen is setting on. I am hoping some of these eggs will be able to hatch. The chicken eggs are from Fluffy, William’s favorite chicken.
Here is the sad state of our garden. Some vegetable starts are growing though.
The flowers continue. This is one of our rhododendrons looking pretty.
We were able to visit Tom’s mother for Mothers’ Day today. It was nice. The plum tree in front of their place is completely loaded. Looking forward to plums this year.
We are watching Mae West movies now on TCM. It’s fun. On one of the movies, she is using a 3-D photo viewer just like I have, given to me by Al. How fun!
This has been our May/Mae week.

Thanks for the photo of Al enjoying the sunshine!
I am glad you enjoyed the photo! We will be released relatively soon.
nice to see that Priscilla is getting settled in. ‘Tis hard being the new girl!
It is hard but she’s slowly incorporating herself into the flock.
