I purchased these roses to place at the site of the Wellington avalanche. Tonight is the 100th anniversary of the worst avalanche in US history where 96 lives were lost after being torturously trapped in Wellington for days. Our trip to Wellington (on Stevens Pass) was curtailed since the road to the trailhead has 8 feet of snow on it so I thought I would post the photo here.

So I realized after the fact that what I should have done with these flowers is place them on the graves of the folks that died in the avalanche that are buried in Everett. I was even in Everett yesterday. So when I get another chance, I will do that. It won’t be the anniversary, but it’s OK.
