I am really getting good with the hay hook. It helps me not have to bend or lift as much when I am moving hay bales around. Today I placed 6 tons of hay from the trailer onto the hay elevator, and my back is still fine. Of course I still was tired and hot.
After stacking the hay, Tom, myself and the dogs headed to the river to cool off. What a nice summer day, getting a major chore accomplished and then relaxing at the river.
They are a great tool. I’ve only used them when standing on the rack and pulling the bales out of the baler, but I can image they would be useful in stacking them in the barn as well.
I had not used it before for stacking the hay but for pulling the hay bales across the trailer, it worked great.
