It has been 7 years today since my first blog post, now at http://schoonover-farm.com/2005/02/07/first-page-of-original-farm-blog/
I have had 631 posts total between 4 different sites. Since I switched to wordpress.com (in 12/09) I have had 39,169 visits. When I was on blogger (4/08 – 12/09) I had 9,608 visits. The very original blog that was on GeoCities (2/05 – 6/06) is still on line at http://www.schoonoverfarm.com/farmblog, but the photos have been taken down from the Yahoo servers they were on. The second blog that was on a Yahoo site (6/06- 4/08) has been taken down entirely. I do not have statistics from my first two blog sites. I did move all three prior blogs to my current one as best I could. There are some photos missing and in my free time I plan on recreating them (but have not found the free time yet!).

I had not created a cluster map for the current blog so am just now starting that. It will be interesting seeing where my visitors come from.
This blog has become important to me as far as documenting my farm life with its ups and downs. It is a way of communicating with people and learning from them. So now 7 years of my life are posted on line and presumably there will be more to come. I hope you will enjoy it!
Congratulations on your Blogiversary! I’ve got one coming up in a few days myself. I know what you mean about blogging becoming a way of documenting your life on the farm and communicating with people. It’s pretty much the only “record-keeping” that I do! 😉
