Autumn Sheep Maintenance Day

This is one day of the farm year I dread.  The day we tackle all the sheep and get them ready for winter.  We did not do the rams yet so there were 33 sheep we caught, put in the chair, trimmed their hooves, assessed their condition and wormed them.  Here is Jemima getting the spa treatment.

Three of these sheep I also sheared, the two Gotland-Finn ewes, Tanya and Moll, and our Cotswold ewe, Dete.  Here is Dete at the beginning of her haircut we the others looking on.

So we are both sore and exhausted.  Catching and wrestling sheep is hard work.  So we will sip adult beverages and watch the Seahawks soon.  Here is a gratuitous pig photo:
