Tanning a Sheepskin, Part 2

rinsing sheepskin after brining

So today we continued onto the next step of tanning our sheepskin.  We rinsed the brined skin.  Above is the skin surface, and below is the wool surface.  DC was sheared a little over one month before he was butchered so his wool is fairly short.

We are still in process. We finished the first pickling, degreased it and now it is pickling again. The next step is tanning. I will blog about it when we finally tan it.
