So here is a photo of my step Dad Al in Vietnam.

I am so proud of him.  He came through a very difficult situation intact including his great sense of humor.

I just ordered two books about the Vietnam War:  A Bright Shining Lie: John Paul Vann and America in Vietnam and Requiem: By the Photographers Who Died in Vietnam and Indochina.  Maybe I will understand more about this war after reading these books.
