So we pressed apples today. We thought it was for the last time for the year but ran out of time so will be pressing more soon. Above are our apples in our mule ready for pressing. And below is Tom pressing the apples.
This year we have a hen who had been dumped here eating the apple scraps in our back yard. She has been living in the yard, going into the chicken pen once per day for grain and then departing for the yard again. Fortunately she shows no interest in going toward the road and the dogs are leaving her alone. We are thinking about calling her Henny Penny after the story that Ketchikan the Animal Man made famous. Plus she is the color of a penny.
