Normally for errands, we head west to Bow-Edison, south to Burlington-Mount Vernon and rarely north to Bellingham. But we really do not head east to Sedro Woolley. So today we had to get blood tests done and our Burlington lab closed so we decided to head to Sedro Woolley. Since it was such a crappy day we chose to make a day of it there.
Heading into town:
We got our blood drawn and then headed to The Iron Skillet for a late breakfast:
Then we headed to downtown to go to the Woolley Market
and Oliver Hammer.
Then we headed to the Sedro Woolley Museum. We had never been, and it is fascinating. Warning, there are lots of photos of items that intrigues me. Many are not that good because I was using my cell phone, and there are reflections from the lighting.
There was a lot of information in the research library there including one of my favorite topics, Blanket Bill Jarman.
Then we went to the gift shop where I bought a book about the Sedro Woolley bank robbery and a recipe booklet.
This was a great way to spend a rainy day. I highly recommend it (except maybe the blood tests).
