Yesterday I noticed Little Man and an upcoming red rooster battling it out. The younger rooster is much bigger and jumped higher, but Little Man stood his own. Little Man is a bantam rooster that was dumped on our property quite a few years ago. He is a tough bugger. Apparently he won. Here he is this morning with his harem:

I was lazy last fall and didn’t get as much butchering done as I should have. It’s currently cockfight central around here. Ugh
It is fun, isn’t it? I do not remember why I gave the upcoming rooster a reprieve. I think it was because there was only one and not worth the effort. That might change soon!
