There were a lot of farm chores today for both Tom and I. But the funnest probably was the bamboo harvest. We need more poles for our beans this year. So we sawed down some of our bamboo and brought it to the goats. They will strip it clean of leaves and small branches. Then all we have to do is cut off some of the side branches they did not eat and we have bean poles. Pretty cool, huh?

Interesting! Are you saying that the bamboo poles don’t sprout and grow, when you use them for bean poles??! I thought that stuff would take root at the drop of a hat!
Ours doesn’t.
super cool that the goats can help out with the garden work!
They usually hinder rather than help.
