Poached Ham with a Sharp Cherry Sauce

Tom used this recipe at my suggestion. We used our ham and our canned Rainier cherries.

I forgot to take a picture of my plate before I ate it so had to make a second one for the photo shoot. This was REALLY good! The Rainiers are not that flavorful as a cherry, but it did not matter. It paired well with the ha. I thought the juniper berries added a nice twist. This is definitely a keeper. Hopefully we get a boatload of cherries from our trees this summer (if it ever comes).

ooh- never thought to pair ham with cherries. Will have to dig in the freezer and see if we still have some from last summer!
