Skansen

After the Vasa Museum we went to Skansen. it is the world’s oldest open air museum. We had lunch From the tavern with a nice view. I had the Meat Delicacy Sandwich.

We explored the old Swedish buildings that had been moved there.

They had people dressed in period clothing demonstrating crafts. This shows flax in its changes to make linen and then some lovely linen weaving.

We saw some wild animals native to Sweden.

We also saw some domesticated animals native to Sweden.

At the end I found a lady selling yarn. I bought some natural colored yarn from Rya and Helsinge sheep.

I had a great time at Skansen. I learned a lot and developed some good ideas for our farm. Plus I got some fiber.
