we went to Seattle. We initially went to the Swedish Club for their pancake breakfast and holiday bazaar. My mom met us there. I had never been, but Mom had in the past with some of our Swedish relatives.

Parking was difficult, and there was a line for the breakfast, but since I am a member we got right in.

The Swedish pancakes with lingonberry sauce and ham were delicious ( you could substitute strawberries). There was traditional music and dancing. Two of the musicians came from Sweden to play.

We explored the bazaar with lots of interesting items for sale. Then we went to the bar with a gorgeous view of Lake Union for aquavit tasting.

Afterwards we headed to Mom and Al’s to watch the Seahawks game. Tom wanted to stop to buy cider on the way ( there is a much better selection in Seattle than where we live). En route we drove by Dick’s and the Clink.

The game was scary at times but exciting in the end. I think a good time was had by all.

What a fun day for you! Thanks for sharing! I haven’t been in Seattle for years – when we finally got to “do” the Space Needle! We celebrated our 25th anniversary with a fancy dinner up there. We are married inn1958, so you know how long ago that was!!

    Have a great day!
