So this morning when we were doing chores, the clouds looked very scary.
They were moving in a counter clockwise direction which was odd. Here is Tom looking at them.
Thankfully, nothing much came from it. Just a spit of rain. After chores we headed to Alpine Meadows Christmas Tree Farm. Unfortunately for us, the U-cut was over, and the selection was limited since we were so late this year. But we found a mildly flawed but nice tree. Here is the trunk cut off. It was a 15 year old Noble Fir tree.
Here is the tree before the ornaments were placed.
The first ornament was J.P. Patches,
and the second one was Gertrude.
Then the rest of the ornaments went on.
The tree is a little funky, but I like it.
I like your tree, too!! It looks quite festive!
Those clouds were really ominous-looking!
Thanks Jeanne! Hopefully nobody laughs at it. There were ominous, weren’t they? But they didn’t do anything to us. I was wondering if the sun being so low this time of year made them look odd.
Funny, I was just on the Alpine Meadow website to see when they are open this week- off to a late start with the Christmas prep. Hopefully they’ll have some tiny trees left!
They mostly have smaller trees but also some huge ones. He did give us a deal.
What is the significance of the purple tinsel garland only at the top?
I was trying to hide the bald spot there. I have already distributed the purple more because I decided it looked silly.
It turns out those were mammatus clouds.
