Puppy Routine

We are settling into a routine with Ryeleigh. I have been off of work for a few days. I tend to get up first and take her on her first morning walk/pee/poop session. Then we play in the house, Tom gets up, we have coffee and I do dishes. Tom then watches the pup while I do the farm chores. We get back together for lunch. After that I take over puppy duties while Tom works on projects or sells vintage stereo gear. We have dinner and then try to relax when the puppy allows it. Our house has become a puppy playground.

We have to time our activities around her playtimes, potty breaks, and naps. I have been cooking more lately as that is something I can do in the afternoons while watching her. I have made Vermont Cheddar and Rosemary Scones for Tom,

started a Corned Venison,

made Scotch Eggs for me,

and started marinating Spicy, Garlicky Cashew Chicken for tonight’s dinner.

Last night we were listening to All Blues on KNKX, and Bo Diddley’s Mona came on. She howled along with the chorus. It was so cute, but I did not get my phone out in time to capture it. But I did catch her being vocal a little later while we played with Mr. Bill, her favorite toy on the couch.

Then she fell off of the couch.  She is so adorable but also exhausting.

Ryeleigh is such a cutie! I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting the sound with the video at first, but I figured it out.

You really are keeping busy! I was wondering how you are doing and how Tom’s knee is…

I’ve been getting way behind on my emails. You’d think that being laid up with this injured leg, I’d have a lot of time to spend on the internet. Hm! I’m supposed to be keeping it elevated as much as possible.

I checked out the recipe for the Scotch Eggs, and decided I’d let you make them!

I am glad you figured out how to get the sound. That is the important part. I am trying to get stuff done between puppy duties. I am still ill but Tom’s knee is doing much better. Sorry about your still being laid up. I hope you are back on your feet soon. The Scotch Eggs are easy to make and quite tasty.

  2. The scones look great! Thanks so much for the link. Enjoy that beautiful puppy, they grow so fast!
